Extended Description

Entrapment between the vertical bars of a gate and the guide post or wall is the leading safety concern with automated sliding gates. Safety edge is the best way to prevent this and is recommended for sliding gates in public places such as parks and schools. When the soft rubber strip is compressed it sends a signal to the gate motor to stop and back up. It is recommended to mount them on any posts or walls that the gate slides past in its operation. Additionally a safety edge can be mounted to the leading edge of the gate.
