Photocells are mounted on either side of the gate to improve safety. If the beam is broken by your car or a person they will stop the operation of the gate motor. The Relfexo is a reflective photocell, meaning the one side of the photocell is both, the transmitter and receiver. The beam will reflect off of a reflective surface, which is positioned on the far side of the driveway. This means you will not need to run a cable to the far side of the driveway.
